Blue October
Blue October isn’t just your average, everyday rock band from Texas. The group was formed in Houston in the late ‘90s by lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, his brother, drummer Jeremy, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, later joined by guitarist/vocalist CB Hudson and bassist Matt Noveskey, who left and later returned to the line-up. The group’s epic live shows and exploration of subjects like mental depression, drug use, love, betrayal, forgiveness and cathartic transcendence have helped them amass a strong, loyal following through five albums, three of which have been released by Universal Records.
Kottonmouth Kings & Swollen Members
Rip-hop hybrids, the Kottonmouth Kings, announced this week a summer headlining tour with Canadian hip-hop group Swollen Members and Big B.
"The summer just got a little hotter," says Daddy X of Kottonmouth Kings. "For this tour we're bringing together different factions of the underground to create the best bang for your buck. It's going to be an unbelievable summer of mayhem, chaos and hot women when this tour kicks off."
"Swollen Members and everyone at Battle Axe Records have always respected the Kottonmouth Kings and the movement they've created," says Mad Child from Swollen Members. "I think both groups have always done things their own way and uniting both our audiences is going to be a beautiful thing. This tour is going to be one of the hottest tickets in the underground this summer and we can’t wait to get started."
The Kottonmouth Kings are gearing up for the October 13th release of their eagerly anticipated two-disc Hidden Stash IV album, which will feature over 40 tracks of hard to find and previously unreleased music from deep with the Kottonmouth compound.
